En mai 2013 prochain sortira chez la Black LIbrary un roman inédit Warhammer intitulé Headtakerby David Guymer.

It has long been a feature of Black Library events that those lucky attendees have the chance to purchase pre-release titles months before their scheduled release date. And this is certainly the case for this year’s Black Library Live, but this year we’ve got something a bit different. For the first time, you’ll be able to purchase digital titles at a Black Library event, including two pre-release novels: Headtaker by David Guymer and Seventh Retribution by Ben Counter.

To give you a taste of what’s to come, here’s an extract from Headtaker:

Queek gripped the haft of Dwarf Gouger tightly as the weapon smashed home. The impact thumped up his arm, a beautiful electricity that sent sparks of delirium flying through his mind. He watched the dwarf’s eyes go dark and savoured the moment. He squealed his triumph and wrenched back, heavy gauntlets of warpstone and scarlet steel grinding around the grip of the spiked maul that had embedded in the dwarf’s helm. His biceps strained, muscles rippling beneath coarse black fur. The dwarf rose partway off the ground, feet dangling, arms flapping like the wings of some overweight flightless bird before the gore-slickened spike at last came free. The lifeless body crashed to the ground between his footpaws.

It was so beautiful.

A scream dragged him from his reverie.

Another dwarf fell, guts drooling over the blade of a halberd. He snarled at the unwanted interruption, hissing at a stormvermin as the dark-furred warrior tugged his weapon loose. The stormvermin slunk back and Queek glared after him. For an instant of confusion he forgot where he was, reality reasserting itself in a riot of colours and sounds; screams, blood, shattered armour, the scavenged, russet-dyed livery of his warriors as they ducked and flowed around the dour, grey-cloaked dwarfs, the ripple and crack of warplock jezzails. Of course, he reminded himself, another of the dwarfs’ mine workings.

How many holes into the Eight Peaks would Belegar and his dwarfs burrow before learning that there was no hiding place from Queek?

He could smell them.

He took a deep breath, relishing the scent of blood and fear, all of it mingled with the delicious tang of warpstone. Rusted chains hung from the ceiling, swaying with the ebb and flow of battle, the corroded metal gleaming darkly with the reflected glow of a dozen fires. Great stacks of coal burned in pyres, although whether they had caught a stray warpstone shell or been deliberately set alight to upset skaven dark vision and cloud keen skaven noses was a mystery.

The dwarfs had certainly been prepared this time. Rocks and scree and upturned carts had been piled into barricades, channelling the skaven hordes into killing zones and choke points to die by the axe and by the quarrel. Queek watched as a score of clanrats attempted to surmount one such barricade. Rather than defend their position, the dwarfs leapt clear and an instant later, just as the skaven were trilling their triumph, that section of barricade erupted in a geyser of rock shards and dirty flame. The explosive force of the concealed blackpowder device fired still-celebrating skaven high into the air. Body parts mingled with blasted rock, plummeting to earth like rain.

Even standing a hundred tail-lengths from the blast, Queek staggered under the shockwave. The aftershock sounded thunderously through the ancient mine, echoing through arterial tunnels and buried shafts like a systolic rhythm.

Queek took it all in and grinned. Yes, it was good to be Queek.

Désolé je ne suis pas du tout fan des Skavens mais la couverture est remarquable.

Un livre sur des rats...Mais où va le monde ?? En plus, les skavens sont tout sauf intéressants, donc sans moi et qui plus est je ne sais pas ce que vaut l'auteur.

En précommande sur le site de la Black Library (Sortie toujours en mai 2013)

Je relance ce topic pour en savoir un peu plus quant à sa sortie en VF... Etant un fan incontesté des skavens, j'attends ce livre avec impatience et toujours aucune nouvelle de lui en librairie

Il est sortie en mai 2013 en VO En VF, pas de news ....

Oui c'est ce que j'ai cru comprendre sur le site de BL... Un roman en VO met longtemps à sortir en VF ?

Cela peut varier suivant le livre, par exemple le livre Skarsnik est sortit en VF deux mois après la VO, alors que la plupart du temps c'est un an entre les deux versions (Time of Legends par exemple).

Voir il se peut qu'ils n'arrivent jamais en VF (la suite de la trilogie sur Thanquol, éditée sous la Bibliothèque Interdite à l'époque). Mais cette série Warhammer Heroes semble être toujours traduite en Français.

Pour Headtaker on ne peut prédire, il est paru en Vo en Mai 2013. Et quand on compare les sorties de cette série:

Wulfrik - Decembre 2010 VO / Septembre 2011 VF.
Sigvald - Juillet 2011 VO / Mars 2013 VF.
Le Duc Rouge - Novembre 2011 VO / Janvier 2013 VF.
Luthor Huss - Février 2012 VO / Novembre 2013 VF.
Valkia la Sanglante - Juillet 2012 VO / Février 2013 VF.
Egrimm van Horstmann - Fevrier 2013 VO / Octobre 2013 VF.
Skarsnik - Juin 2013 VO / Août 2013 VF.


Tu vois que les décalages entre les deux versions sont aléatoires, même si on voit également que 2013 fut une très bonne année pour cette série.

Il n'y a plus qu'à espérer qu'il sorte vite alors ! Y a -t-il des chances qu'il sorte encore cette année ?

Nous n'avons pas de boule de cristal désolé... Et comme Nico te l'a bien expliqué: c'est très variable!

Si tu meurt d'impatience et de frustration il te reste deux choix:

- aller voir une cartomancienne, et gaspiller ton fric (mais là je peux t'aider, je t'envoie mon paypal par MP si tu veux   )

- contacter BLF sur facebook, et leur demander par gentiment par MP, ils te répondrons surement.

Non étant donné que la BLF ne sort qu'un seul et unique livre Battle chaque mois, et que pour les 3 mois qui arrivent les places sont déjà prises. Dans l'absolu nous ne sommes que des fans des publications BL, pas des membres de cette société et donc nous ne pouvons pas prédire l'avenir des sorties.

Regardes le PLANNING, il est complet et définitif.


Mais là on est dans du hors sujet par rapport au roman Headtaker. Penses à regarder dans les diverses sections du forum à l'avenir avant de poser des questions maintes fois déjà abordées. Cela évite le flood et le HS.

Nico : désolé du dérangement et du HS mais je suis nouveau sur le forum. Bien que ma question ne traite du livre en lui-même mais de sa sortie, je pensais que cela pouvait demandé dans ce topic.
